The concept

Sound without touch

The theremin is played without physical contact. Hands move in the air to shape pitch and volume, an invisible conversation between gesture and tone.

In this concert, that ethereal voice meets the piano: two instruments, one dialogue across time and space.

The instrument of the future

The Theremin

Invented in 1920 by Russian physicist Leon Theremin, the theremin is the world's first electronic instrument. Played without touch, it responds to subtle movements of the performer's hands in mid-air.

With its haunting voice and futuristic spirit, the theremin bridges science and art, turning movement alone into sound.
